Garmin TR1 Shadow Drive Features
- No rudder feedback transducers to install: With aerospace engineering and technology plus our special patents, we at TR-1 have perfected an autopilot system where no rudder feedback transducers are necessary.
- Shadow Drive: Automatically disengages the autopilot when the boat is steered from the helm. Automatically reengage's the autopilot when the boat is steered to a constant heading and the helm is released. If you know how to steer your boat, you know how to run the Gladiator. It is simpler to use than your T. V. remote. The Shadow Drive will accommodate multiple helms. Standard feature.
- Auto Tune: The Gladiator is intelligent. Simplified setup. Tunes itself automatically, or allows you the option to tune it yourself. This is a standard feature.
- Low Speed Autopilot: The only autopilot that works at trolling speeds as well as full throttle.
- GPS Interface: The TR-1 Gladiator can interface with any GPS system and tie into your complete navigation format. We stay on waypoints and connect to new ones automatically.
- Installs on any boat with Hydraulic steering: The Gladiator works with outboards, I/O's, and diesels; whether it is a single or dual engine installation. The Gladiator is very easy to use. Just point, press, and release.
- One size fits all. No need to go through the pain of trying to figure out which components to configure the system. The Gladiator solves that problem. The Gladiator has only six main standard components for a complete system.
Circles: The Gladiator is capable of a continuous circles with lap times adjustable from 1 to 90 minutes, which allows you to stay with the fish.
- Zig Zags: Performs a continuous zig-zag pattern, which allows you to cover more area for finding fish. The length and degree of zig-zags are adjustable.
- U-Turns: Performs left or right U-turns with a press of a button.
- Step turns: Allows driver to change heading from 1 to 90 degrees in any direction with a single press of a button.
- Man Overboard Maneuver (MOB): The Gladiator performs the Williamson maneuver perfectly. This is for safety or coming back over a specific point for fishing or navigating, without the use of a GPS.
- Reverse: The autopilot works in reverse.
- GPS Modes: With a user-supplied GPS, the Gladiator is capable of search patterns, orbits, or cloverleaf patterns around a waypoint.
